Becky Brothers Service Scholarship

$1000.00

South Putnam graduate who attended all four years at SPHS with a minimum GPA of 3.0; Preference will be given to students studying a service area (education, counseling, human services, etc.) Financial need, participation in extra-curricular activities, volunteer service in the community, and moral character are considered.

Belle Union High School Alumni Association Scholarship (2 Awards)

$1,500.00

South Putnam graduating senior who attended at least their junior and senior years at SPHS; Intends to be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student; Demonstrates scholastic and leadership abilities, extra-curricular activities and moral character; While not required, there is preference for a student with a direct tie to Belle Union High School.

Betty Allee Hurst Scholarship for Women

$2,500.00

South Putnam graduating senior woman with a minium GPA of 3.0 who plans to earn a two or four year college degree. Preference given to students with financial need and/or who have overcome adversity; who have a generous and kind spirit; who place a high value on honesty, fairness and equality; who are known to have high integrity and dependability, and who have an interest in climate change mitigation and environmental preservation.

Bob Rice Scholarship

South Putnam graduating senior with a minimum GPA of 2.0; Preference given to Purdue students majoring in engineering or participating in the band program.

Dave & Pat Bombei Service Scholarship

$1,000.00

South Putnam graduating senior with a minimum, unweighted GPA of at least 2.5 with intent to earn a Bachelor's Degree/Certification; Candidates should be well-rounded students who have participated in varsity athletics, school and church activities and demonstrate a desire to serve others.

Helen Kash Scholarship

$1,000.00

South Putnam graduating senior pursing a two or four year college; Demonstrates high character and moral values; Preference given to a child or grandchild of a current or former South Putnam staff member.

Dr. Ella Ingram & James Luzar Scholarship

     $1,000.00

South Putnam graduating senior or South Putnam graduate pursuing further education.

Ingram Luzar STEM Scholarship

$1,000.00

A woman South Putnam graduate enrolled in at least her second year of college with a minimum GPA of 2.5 who participates in STEM activities.

Puckett Family Scholarship

$1,000.00

South Putnam graduating senior pursuing a two or four year college degree; Displaying moral character, involvement in extracurricular activities and a determination for success.

Raab Family Scholarship

$1,000.00

South Putnam graduating senior with an unweighted, minimum GPA of 2.5 who intends to earn a Bachelor's Degree or attend a community college or another two-year institution; Participates in extra-curricular school activities and/or community serivce engagement efforts; Committed to diversity, equity and inclusion; Demonstrates desire to serve others; Strong consideration given to students from under-represented diverse backgrounds and whose presence will enhance the learning environment through increased diversity.

Reelsville Alumni Scholarship (2 Awards)

$2,000.00

South Putnam graduating senior; Intends to be enrolled at an accredited college, university, technical or business school. Preference will be given to students who reside west of Highway 231 in Warren or Washington Townships. Students with a direct tie to Reelsville may also be considered. If no applicants in these categories qualify, all South Putnam applicants will be considered.

South Putnam High School Scholarship (2 Awards)

$1500 For Two Years Each

South Putnam graduating senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0; Documented vounteerism and community service; Perference given to those who have served in volunteer leadership positions. This scholarship recognizes students who have most demonstrated a kind and generous spirit, a passion for justice, and the ability and motivation to enrich the work and stregthen community.

As part of Scholarship America's® national network of locally based, volunteer-driven Dollars for Scholars® chapters, our mission is to mobilize our community on behalf of postsecondary education success for our students.

 Dollars for Scholars chapters like ours help hometown students achieve their educational goals by raising scholarship funds, establishing endowments, providing assistance with college readiness and the financial aid process, and distributing scholarships each year.
